My wife, who was a weight loss counselor for Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig, suggested I use cocktail sauce on my salads. I love it.

Wow! I love your play list. A nice mix of the 70s & 80s. Sometimes I think I need a drill sergeant to make sure that I am pushing myself as I exercise. In a group situation it's easy because I don't want to look bad in front of all of…

Exercise and Nutrition Sites and Advice

Happy and Healthy New Year! What really helped find a good way to stay in shape years ago was Dr. Kenneth Cooper's book Aerobics which was updated to The New Aerobics. You first found your level and then through different forms of exercise (walking, jogging, cycling, swimming etc.) you had to earn points to meet your weekly goal. It kept me focused. You should set goals, keep a fitness log and eat properly to get and stay in the best shape possible. Of course, you should talk with your physician…See More

Thanks. We sure appreciate it. We are really informal, and Joe and I love making Burt's editing job tougher by talking too much. :)

I got ranch, and I went back today and got Honey Dijon. I'm dissapointed, the only other product I could find was the syrup. The honey dijon has these ingrediants: Purified triple filtered water, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, cellulose…

Patty, I tried to find ingredients lists on the website and couldn't locate any. What flavor did you pick up? Are there any preservatives? Since it says no sugars, I assume there is no high fructose corn syrup? I am trying to cut all…

A great DVD that includes a cardio workout as well as upper and lower body strength training is "The Rules of Fat Burning" by Kathy Smith. I like this DVD because it allows you to program your own workout sequence.

Suzanne Whisler replied to Karen Chichester's discussion 'What are your fitness goals for 2010?'
My goal is to maintain a healthy life style that includes exercise and healthy eating. Hopefully, that should help with my weight loss goal. Once the weather starts cooperating I would really like to start running. Some day I want to run a 5K.

A Recipe for Refresing Water

Are you drinking enough water everyday? I'm trying to increase my water intake but I get tired of just plain water. Trying adding fresh mint leaves and lemon slices to a gallon of water to create a refreshing and healthy drink.

working out

I started working out about two weeks ago. My starting weight was 216. my goal is to get down to 200 by the 19th of Jan. I weight myself and was down 212. but two day later was up to 214. I sure hope this is from building muscles. I had a very good workout today. Drop kid off at school than when to the gym at 8:00. I warmed up for 10 mins, than moved to weights for 30 mins, to end I did cardio for 35 mins. Of course I have been sitting in the sanua after for 15 mins.
